All Meisel basses feature solid ebony fingerboards and Rubner machine heads.

Unquestionably the finest bass offered by Meisel.  The deep tone quality and great carrying power of this double bass makes it the choice of the discriminating professional bass player. Hand carved with a specially selected flamed back and seasoned spruce top,  Rubner machine heads and ebony fingerboard.  Available in 3/4 (8950) and 4/4 (8954) sizes.

The Model 8900 is a fine instrument with nickel plated machines, laminated spruce top, and maple back and sides.


All Meisel basses are shop adjusted on our premises to exceed MENC specifications. Models 8850 and 8900 have laminated tops and backs.

 


E-Fusion Bass

The new 8000 E-Fusion Bass from Meisel Stringed Instruments packs a “full bodied” sound without weighing down students’ arms or budgets.  Available from 3/4 down to 1/8 in size, the E-Fusion is full-sized in every respect, except for the depth of its body, being 55% less deep than a full-sized bass.
